The paper illustrates the Third Mission project of the Sapienza Università di Roma I libri Sapienza parlano (Sapienza books speak), indicating its genesis, aims, development phases and activities carried out. The project is aimed to provide people with visual disabilities and DSA, even those not belonging to the Sapienza community, with versions of the books available in accessible formats at Sapienza libraries. Sapienza University has already obtained the authorization to make accessible copies thanks to the exception to copyright in favor of certain categories of beneficiaries.
