The 4CH project, completed in 2023, laid the foundations for the establishment of a European Competence Center dedicated to the conservation of cultural heritage, with a particular emphasis on new technologies—especially digital ones—applied, to the preservation and enhancement of sites and monuments. The new Center aims to become a key reference for institutions, scholars, and professionals in the field, offering consultancy and training services while proposing guidelines. This contribution outlines the transition from the project to the formal establishment of the Center.
