(Proto)modello di trascrizione automatica per i manoscritti danteschi in Littera Textualis (XIV-XV sec.) con Transkribus

Serena Malatesta
The report outlines the description of an experimental model for automatic recognition (HTR) of Italian Gothic or littera textualis handwriting, specifically applied to 14th-century Dante manuscripts through the Transkribus platform. The aim is to create a model that enables automatic diplomatic transcription, including the metadata annotation of abbreviations and connections, as well as the resolution of scriptio continua where possible. This experimental endeavor aims to achieve an imperfect yet helpful automatic transcription to facilitate philological work for code comparison.
